Description

Shows hills and mountains in the district around Bradshaw Sound, off Doubtful Sound.

Lot 123 wrongly identified in auction catalogue as Mount Cook 1868. Despite inscription, date estimated to be around September 1874 when Gully accompanied Sir James Fergusson to the Southern sounds (see text in Gully's "New Zealand scenery", London, 1877)
