Half-length frontal portrait of a Maori chief. He has moko, is wearing a European suit with a bow tie. The suit lapels and bow-tie are coloured-in red; the face a pinkish-brown. Accompanying text entitled `New Zealand - The Battle of Mahoetahi'. Artist and engraver unknown.
