Cartes de visite, chiefly of the Fildes and Taine families. Many are identified only by their Christian names. Inserted in a pocket at the front of the album is a portrait of Percy Fildes, and two views of a large placard on the Bank of New Zealand building on the corner of Lambton Quay and Willis Streets, Wellington, taken on 15 March 1918. The placard reads `Help our boys' and has a target of 25,000 pounds to be raised.
