Architectural proposal for Port Nicholson showing streets surrounding it - from left to right: Grass Street, Oriental Terrace, Hay, Hawker, MacFarlane, Roxburgh Major Bank, Courtenay, Manners, Willis, Church, Boulcott, Hobson, Davis, Mulgrave, Charlotte, Bowen, Waring Taylor, Johnstone, Brandon, Panama, Grey and Hunter streets. Baths are marked at the harbour ends of Kent and Cambridge terraces and Davis Street. The Church of England, Jewish and Public cemeteries are marked.
Possibly drawn by Jens Conrad Seidelin, a Danish architect who lived in Dunedin 1873-1878. Darnoc is Conrad Seidelin backwards.
