Description

A view of part of the devastated French village of Hebuterne a place which saw heavy fighting on several occasions in World War I. Shows mounds of earth, tree stumps and ruined houses. Barbed wire can also be seen. Probably a trench in the foreground. Photograph taken 13 May 1918 by Henry Armytage Sanders.
