Description

Six uniformed soldiers of the Light Infantry Company, 65th Regiment (Yorkshire, North Riding), circa 1860s. From left to right: Bugler Austin (another source identifies him as Bugler James Kendrick), Colour Sergeant (another source identifies him as Sergeant-Major) William Acheson, Private Tobin, Lance-Corporal John Lennox, Sergeant Feltham and Corporal (another source identifies him as Sergeant) John Russell. Photographer possibly John Nicol Crombie in Auckland.
