Description

Shows view looking down on the town of Nelson framed by the slopes of Washington valley with a road going towards the town. Two churches are visible with the Anglican church on the hill at the right most clearly distinguishable. In the centre of the town is the Oddfellows Hall, with the Provincial Council Chambers further to the left on a slight rise. There are a few houses alongside the road in the valley in the foreground.
