Shows a single storey homestead on a lawn with tree plantings, and a row of taller trees behind the house. On the far right is the edge of a fountain.
This is the left side of a three-part panoramic picture of the Horsely Down station.
The house shown is that of John Willoughby Mallock, built in 1872 when he moved to this location from Heathstock to manage the entire station. He remained there until his death in 1870. The house was built of brick with a slate roof. The fountain on the far right is also shown in E-404-008.
