A brief history of the Field and Thurlow families before John Henry Field and his wife Emma Field nee Thurlow sailed for New Zealand on the SS Siam in 1867 with their three children. John Field was prominent in local politics in Auckland and had a printing business in Albert Street. Contents include full charts of their children and their descendants. John Henry Field was born in Dublin in 1836 and died 1896.
