Description: Carte de visite portrait of Lieutenant William Richard White of the 50th Regiment, taken between 1863 and 1866 by Hartley Webster of Auckland. White served with the 50th (The Queen's Own) Regiment of Foot from 5 December 1856. Served in the New Zealand wars from 15 November 1863 to 2 October 1866. Appointed Aide de Camp to Brigadier General Waddy on 26 January 1865 and served on the staff until 7 April 1866.
