A Roman Catholic priest in soutane and saturno, his back to the viewer, standing alongside Maori members of his flock in a New Zealand (probably Auckland) bush setting. Two of the men are wearing European clothing including hats, one of them smoking a pipe. The other five, including a child, are in Maori dress. A small dog is standing to the left of the priest
