Contains a statement of the `Apirations and priorities of Te Runanga o Te Ati Awa, Muaupoko, Ngati Rangitane, Ngati Raukawa me Ngati Toa', a proposal to establish a Commission for the Maori language, prepared by Whatarangi Winiata (possibly on behalf of Ngati Raukawa, Ngati Toa and Te Ati Awa), copies of whaikorero, waiata, Maori language lesson notes and examinations, and a copy of `Te Maori' magazine (the magazine of the New Zealand Maori Council)

Also contains clippings about various Maori subjects, including an article in the NZ Listener [1985] about the Maori language and profiling two Ngati Toa kaumatua.
