Webber, John, 1751?-1793 : View of a hippah or village in New Zealand [1777]; Cook / Sparrow sc. - [London? 178-?]

Shows a group of four Maori in the centre foreground, and two others on the ground at the right. They are seen in the grounds of a deserted pa, probably at Motuara Island at the entrance to Queen Charlotte Sound (see Joppien and Smith, vol 3 page 18). There are several reed huts overlooking the water, and a large hill in the centre distance.
