Map showing the changes in shape of banks and shingle spits along the section of the River Grey between Cobden and Greymouth, between the dates 1865 and 1871. The map key provided shows the shape of the banks and shingle spits as found by surveys conducted in 1865, 1866, 1868 and 1871 by the County of Westland and the Province of Nelson. Cobden Hill and the Greymouth and Saltwater Tramway are also illustrated.
