Profile head and torso portrait of Te Rauparaha, a fighting chief of the Ngati Toa tribe.
Compare other depictions of Rauparaha by Coates. This may be a copy by another artist of an original by Coates, or a copy of the engraving in the Illustrated London news in 1844.
