Description

Survey map of land for Parliamentary and general Government Buildings between Bowen, Hill and Molesworth streets and Lambton Quay. Closed streets are shown within section 1211, and adjacent to both sections 1210 and 1211, which include acreages and boundary measurements. A small area of Section 1211 is noted as 'vested in Wellington City Council as a pleasure ground'. New Zealand Gazetteer references are given for the land reserved for Parliamentary and Government purposes, also the closed streets and public roads, with references to Deeds indexes linked to H. M. the Queen. Public roads include references to Crown Grants and also the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal and Other Bodies Empowering Act 1910. Includes references to the Citizens War Memorial. Widths of some roads are noted. Sydney Street East, Aitken and Bunny streets and The Terrace are marked. Annotations show a few boundary measurements in meters.

Handwritten notes at bottom left give references to Section 1210 in the Deeds Index and Section 1211 in N.Z. Gazeteer
