View of a "W" class steam locomotive with sheep trucks, passing over the Ladle Bend Creek bridge, on the rail route between Wellington and Wairarapa. Surrounding the Rimutaka Incline railway, the land has been cleared, and a small cottage is visible to the left. Photograph taken circa 1891, by an unidentified photographer.
Other - Caption to original print reads: `Ladle bend near summit, Wairarapa. "W" egine [sic] with sheep trucks etc. J. McWhinney is fireman in cab. Photo about 1891.'
