Shows the Ngati Toa and Ngati Raukawa chieftainess Te Rangi Topeora, wearing a Maori cloak and a tiki, circa 1860s. There are four tail feathers of the huia bird (now extinct) fixed in her hair, a sign of her high rank. Photograph taken by Edward Smallwood Richards.
Note on back of file print reads "This image was later painted by Gottfried Lindauer. Original painting in Auckland City Art Gallery"
