Description

A view looking down onto the Clutha River, at Coal Point (now Clyde) with Old Man Range in the background. Miners are working claims on both banks of the river, with houses and tents constructed above the claims. Many men are panning for gold at the river's edge. There is a small figure in a rowboat in the centre of the river
