Story of Jacob Crow, from his birth in Cumberland to Joseph and Mary Crow (nee Jenkinson), early years in Whitehaven, marriage to Jane Leavens, immigration to Otago on the `Forfarshire' in 1879, arrival of his wife Jane & 3 children in 1881, employment as an iron miner, gold miner, race builder and quarryman, years living at Bannockburn, death of Jane and remarriage to Mrs Jane Reid Hodgson (nee Bell), and lives of his two daughters.
