Description

Shows the town's main street, with horse hitched outside hotel, a wagon going away along the street, Staite Bros Molyneux Store, an American flag hanging limp on a flagpole in the distance. There is a blacksmith's forge at right, a wagon resting on the road at left.

Dunstan Hotel built 1863. Molyneux is the old name for the Clutha River. Dated in the 1860s because trees were flourishing by 1970.
