Consists of scrapbooks of cuttings: advertisments mainly for gramophones, radios, and record clubs; articles on performers and performances from various music genres and on aspects of the sound industry. Also includes correspondence; drafts of a nine section work on the growth of the New Zealand record industry, 1926-1936; parts one and two of a history of EMI in New Zealand and other miscellaneous material. A95-110 and A95-156 deal particularly with HMV NZ Ltd. A97-040 relates to Connie Francis recordings under HMV/MGM label and note on Antoni Williams. A99-256 includes Anderson's Plunket Society Baby Record and personal papers, and papers relating to Connie Francis and EMI.
The scrapbooks of Philips record advertisements (Sept 1954-March 1973) include articles on other aspects of the recording industry such as reviews and previews (A96-068; fMS-Papers-5479 folders 1-6)
