Shows a lake scene (Te Whanga Lagoon) with two ducks in the water and two shags on a branch in the foreground, a canoe on the lake in right distance. Across the lake is a distinctive volcanic cone hill with smaller peaks further in the distance. Tree ferns, a cabbage tree and other trees are nearby, with flax flowering on the strip of land in the foreground
The volcanic peak shown may be Te Ranga, close to the South-west corner of Te Whanga Lagoon
