V class steam locomotive, WMR (Wellington and Manawatu Railway) number 7, 2-6-2 type, photographed between 1885-1922 at an unidentified location, by an unidentified photographer.
Note on back of file print reads: "c.n from album print no 3342"
This locomotive was built by Nasmyth Wilson of Manchester, England, in 1885. It was taken over by NZR (New Zealand Railways) in 1908 and re-numbered 451V. It was written off in 31 March 1922. See 'Register of New Zealand steam locomotives, 1863-1971' by W G Lloyd.s
