Description

Menu for a Wellington restaurant specialising in hearty steak meals. It followed an "Olde Englishe" tradition, and aimed to be "romantic, intriguing", with "serving wenches". The main courses were prepared entirely from the time of ordering and there is a warning that they could take up to 45 minutes.

The front cover shows a coloured plaster or ceramic model of a beefeater, against a pale castle background.

May date from the late 1960s to early 1970s.
