A rough sketch of C. J. W. Cookson's homestead, Newbiggin, at Ilam in Christchurch (cf E-281-q-024). The house is a small single-storied dwelling with verandah along one side. The blur to the right represents Riccarton Bush. The Greek letters are a phonetic rendering of `Cookson'. Date 1852 suggested from dating of E-281-q-024
