Shows eight sketches of the head of expatriate New Zealander Rewi Alley. At the lower right is a street scene with multi-coloured flags or pennants on strings stretched over the street. A flexible two-unit bus is shown, and there is a man driving a bicycle which has a car steering wheel instead of the usual handlebars. There is a traffic controller standing beside a red and white striped traffic pole in the intersection. At the top right is a head and shoulders sketch of a soldier in brown jacket and cap, with a red star on the hat, and red stripes on the collar of the jacket.
