Artist assumed to be Dr Henry Thomas Spratt, rather than his son Henry Howell Spratt. See Cyclopedia of New Zealand, Volume 1, Wellington, page 884. Boxed with two sketchbooks by Jock McEwen. In the centre is the headland adjacent to the harbour, and at the right are two outlying islands, probably Motuketekete and/or Moturekareka and/or Motutara.
