Join this guided tour with He Tohu curator Stefanie Lash who will introduce you to the taonga in the document room, He Whakapapa Kōrero. You will be introduced to:
1835 He Whakaputanga o te Rangatiratanga o Nu Tireni — Declaration of Independence of the United Tribes of New Zealand
1840 Te Tiriti o Waitangi – Treaty of Waitangi, and
1893 Women’s Suffrage Petition – Te Petihana Whakamana Pōti Wahine.
Hear fascinating stories of the journeys of these taonga from Te Rua Mahara o te Kāwanatanga Archives New Zealand to Te Puna Mātauranga o Aotearoa National Library of New Zealand.
