Brian Cleary is back with his wonderful comical CATegorical cats introducing young readers to the concept of how time is measured. First is a definition of time as a specific moment, as shown in the hour, minute, and second on a clock or in a day, month, and year on a calendar. Then each unit of a second, minute, hour, day, week, month, year, and decade are explored using activities that children can easily relate to.

The combination of rhyming text and bright colourful graphics really captures attention giving the book high interest appeal and possible read aloud opportunities.
