Description: First day cover shows an illustration of the Waitangi carved meeting house at top left, and a 2d Centennial of New Zealand stamp showing Abel Tasman and his ship at the top right. The rubber stamp was imprinted at Russell on 6 February 1940. The typescript addresses the envelope to Messrs E L Broberg & Co. Ltd, Paihia, Bay of Islands.
