Slides taken and collected by Muriel Edwards of places around New Zealand circa 1950s-1970s. Most of the images were taken by Edwards and 137 were commercially produced, chiefly by 'Kiwi Colour Slides'.
Edwards' images show outdoor scenes, particularly the following: at the Milford and Routeburn tracks, Roaring Meg, the train 'Ivanhoe' at Lyttelton, Hamner, Queenstown, Pidgeon Bay, Canterbury, National Park, Whakapapa ski field at Ruapehu without snow. Some pictures show tramping and huts.
The commercial slides show: Mt Egmont, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Lake Okatainal, Rotorua air views, Taupo, Central Otago, and the road to Milford. There are a range of further images including a set showing the Waitomo Caves. Most of this set are 'Kiwi Colour Slides' with accompanying leaflets describing each image.

Arrangement: The slides came into the Library in an order that was slightly disorganised. The general flow of the collection has been retained.
