This series comprises sixty-four folders and relates to the writing and publication of `Crete', a volume in the official New Zealand history of the Second World War published in 1953. It includes copies of official and military documents supplied to Davin as part of his research, drafts of Davin's book, comments on the drafts by participants in the Crete Campaign and correspondence relating to the project.
