Includes two handwritten facsimiles from 'A journal of an Indian captivity during Pontiac's rebellion in the year 1763' by John Rutherford and one from 'A system of heraldy, speculative and practical, with the true art of blazon, according to the most approved heralds in Europe: illustrated with suitable examples of armorial figures, and achievements of the most considerable surnames and families in Scotland, together with historical and genealogical memorials relative thereto' by Alexander Nisbet.
