Lawyer, judge. Born Motueka, 7 Sep 1873, son of Judah Myers. Educated Wellington College and graduated with law degree 1896 from Canterbury College. In 1899 married Estelle (Stella) Miriam Salom (fl 1899-1950). With Bell Gully in Wellington; King's Counsel 1922; Chief Justice 1929; Privy Councillor 1931. Died 5 Apr 1950. Describes his feelings about childhood and school. Talks about his masters degree in law at Victoria University. Describes being assistant to the Air Secretary during World War II, dealing with Alister McIntosh and beginning work as a clerk with the Department of External Affairs. Mentions Frank Corner, Sir George Laking, Foss Shanahan, Tom Sherrard and J.V. Wilson. Discusses Peter Fraser. Comments on his own membership of the Institute of International Affairs.
