Of Tuhourangi. One of the group of 14 Maori who travelled to England in William Jenkins' party, 1863-1864. Of Tuhourangi. Son of Whareri; grandson of Te Whiu; great-grandson of Te Ururau, descendant of Rangitihi. Was from Lake Tarawera. He was in his 50s at the time of the trip to London. He died on board the "Flying Foam" on the return journey to NZ, 11 May 1864. (Some information from "Hariri Wikitoria" by Brian Mackrell).
