Description: Contains photographs of Wellington Show Association staff, events and buildings, taken circa 1977 to the 1990s. Most photographs depict scenes from an international trade fair in Wellington, likely 1977 or 1979. 18 prints show an official tour: dignitaries (Keith Holyoake, Michael Fowler, Lance Adams-Scheider) are shown walking around exhibitions, meeting staff, and being given demonstrations. Exhibiting countries include China, Yugoslavia (PAColl-10449-3-74), Austria, Korea, Russia (PAColl-10449-3-75 to 78), Federal Republic of Germany, Britain, Italy, Japan and New Zealand. Some exhibitions and staff have not been identified (PAColl-10449-3-85 to 88). Eight prints depict exhibitions without guests: BMW cars, Märklin trains, Austin Morris cars, Futurit traffic lights, a Lada car, and Singer Electronic Knitting machines. Three colour prints show Koro Wetere, Ian Lawrence and other dignitaries at an official re-dedication of the Kupe Statue circa 1985. Also includes portraits of 1978 Vice Presidents H.W. Reed and M.N. Manthel. Prints showing exterior of Winter Show building include an aerial photograph (1977) and a view from street level taken during the 1990s.
