Description: This project marked the restoration of the Civic Theatre in Queen Street, Auckland which is important for its architecture and for the part it has played in the pleasure pursuits of generations of New Zealanders. The interviews were with many of those people engaged in the behind-the-scenes working of a moviehouse and also include those involved in its conservation as a historic building. Interviews George Farrant, Rona von Zalinski, Sir James Fletcher, Marei Dixon, Regina Raye Redfern, Joe Moodabe, Waric Slyfield, Herbie Freeman, Alf Simmons, Phil Warren, Eric Kearney, Iris Gray and Tom Sharplin.
