Description: Kauri seed laid on kauri wood, female and male kauri cones, and Tane Mahuta (giant kauri tree in the Waipoua Kauri Forest). A view of the Waimate North Mission Station Church; three views of a ginkgo biloba tree at the home of John Gilkison at Cambridge; three images taken at the home of Merta Alford (Harriet Mercy Alford) at Taotaoroa showing Sir Michael and Lady Inagh Parsons, visiting New Zealand. The last five images show scenes at a waterlily garden. Marked as being at Waitoa by Rhoda McWhannell, but possibly the Waihi Waterlily Gardens. They include water lilies in flower in the lake, the lake and bush, the water lily nursery, and one image of a yellow begonia plant in flower. Quantity: 20 colour original transparency/ies. Description: Kauri trees, close views of kauri bark, gum, cones, seedlings, leaves and wood. Some of the images show close details and distant views of kauri at Rozel (the farm and nursery owned by Frederick and Rhoda McWhannell). These include kauri cones, a broken-off ball and socket joint, kauri gum on a young tree, and leaves with lichen. Other views were taken in the Waipoua Kauri Forest, including Tane Mahuta (a giant kauri), trees, gum, and kauri bark. Quantity: 23 colour original transparency/ies.
