Description: The left page (page 6) describes the hall as measuring 25,000 square feet, with seating for 6,000 people. The fair was to open on Saturday 21 August at 2.30 pm and continue until Wednesday 25 August at 10 pm. Mr J H F Hamel was in charge of ticket sales. The right hand page lists stalls at the fair, and some of the amusements including "Breaking German crockery", "Killing the Kaiser", and laughing galleries. There were also waxworks, shooting galleries, fairy caves, fortune tellers, magic fishponds, dips, "Komical Klowns", pierrots and pierettes and "hundreds of queenly-garbed folk". A pontoon captured from the Turks by New Zealand troops was to be on show. The Turkish pontoons were prbably the German-made pontoons captured at Gallipoli by New Zealand troops.
