Description: Transparency slides of Mr E G Williams' (Edmund Gardner Williams') travel in New Zealand between 1958 and 1959. This sheet of slides relating to the flax industry at Waihue with flax fibre drying, and being transported on a truck; views of the Kawerau Pulp and Paper Mill (nos. 632-634); the Kinleith Pulp and Paper Mill (nos. 636-640); and birds seen in New Zealand including the Australian native black swan, the grey duck, white-fronted tern, erect-crested penguin, kiwi, pukeko and wandering albatross. Slides on this sheet are numbered 628-650 with one gap where no. 647 was removed for lectures on New Zealand. Arrangement: Mr Williams transferred slide (no. 647) showing a notornis (takahe) for his representative collection on New Zealand used in a lecture series when he returned to England.
