Sunlight Soap (Trademark)

Sunlight Soap was first imported into New Zealand from England in 1884. It was manufactured in Petone from 1919 until 2003, when falling sales prompted its manufacturer Unilever to discontinue the product.

The soap for several decades was a staple in New Zealand households, and used for laundry, cleaning and washing.
