Also contains images of Māori on thirteen 'Three Castles Virginia Cigarette" cigarette cards, and hand sketched lithographs of facial moko designs. Some of the images are annotated on the reverse. Three photographs relating to Te Poho o Rangiahua meeting house in Frasertown, near Wairoa have the words 'On loan from Maori Affairs Dept' annotated on the reverse. Title supplied by Library. Description: Copy of a carving of a chief and his wife greeting each other. The woman has more tattooing on her face than was customary in Robley's day in the 1860s. The forehead moko is `Maketu' and the mouth moko is `Ngaiterangi'. Shoulders are covered with whakairo. The carving was taken to England by Lord Onslow and put up ay Clandon Park, Surrey.
