Description: School boy working on flat wooden copies of Walt Disney cartoon characters. The two in the photograph are Bashful and Dopy from the film "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". Photographed by Nevil Lewers in 1939 The boy is from a standard four class in a Westport school who used Disney's cartoons as a central theme for oral and written work. As a result their reading, writing, spelling, and oral work improved greatly.
