Description: Printing blocks for a proposed book about Elizabeth Kelly's paintings, prepared for publication after her death by her husband Cecil Kelly, but never published. Portraits of women with some men, one nude, one interior and one still life of a vase of flowers. The majority are black and white plates and the image is visible, but a number are colour plates, one to each of four colours, on copper and the image is barely visible. See artists' file for more information. An introduction for this proposed publication was prepared by artist W. S. Wauchop, and a copy of this introduction is held by the Robert McDougall Art Gallery, Christchurch. There is no evidence of any further linking text. [Personal communication from descendant and researcher, Janet Abbott, 1 July 1994] All works signed Elizabeth Kelly. Mrs Kelly married in 1909, so all must post-date 1909 Quantity: 61 curio(s).
