Many of the images show nursing staff and soldiers, very few of whom are identified, and then only by Christian name. Description: Photographs of Egyptian landscapes, buildings, and monuments, possibly taken by Jackson, or by unknown commercial photographer(s) and acquired by Jackson as souvenirs, during the period circa 1915-1919. Four photographic prints have captions inscribed verso, including: - "Philea" and "Temple of Phylea", depicting Philae Temple in Aswan, Egypt. - "Luxor Temple" - "Assonan Dam", depicting Aswan Dam, Egypt. Other prints have numbers inscribed in pencil, and feature buildings and monuments at archaeological sites relating to Ancient Egypt.
