Description: World War I photographs in an album created by G Henning (Gladys Henning), a nurse at the military hospitals at Giza and Montazah (now El Muntazah). Many of the images show nursing staff and soldiers, very few of whom are identified, and then only by Christian name. Description: Photographs of Egyptian landscapes, buildings, and monuments, possibly taken by Jackson, or by unknown commercial photographer(s) and acquired by Jackson as souvenirs, during the period circa 1915-1919. Four photographic prints have captions inscribed verso, including: - "Philea" and "Temple of Phylea", depicting Philae Temple in Aswan, Egypt. - "Luxor Temple" - "Assonan Dam", depicting Aswan Dam, Egypt. Other prints have numbers inscribed in pencil, and feature buildings and monuments at archaeological sites relating to Ancient Egypt. Photographic prints enclosed with envelope featuring the printed address "Steffano Webb Photographer, 323 High Street, Christchurch Tel. 1989" and a manuscript date 14/3/19. See MS-Papers-12292-7.
