Description: Photograph of a pencil sketch of Te Arei Pa at Pukerangiora, Taranaki, by Lieutenant E Foster of the 12th Regiment of Foot (East Suffolk), possibly dated 1861. Photographer unidentified. Nigel Prickett of Auckland Museum suggests the drawing may be dated 1861, when Te Arei Pa fell to British forces. Inscriptions: Album page - beneath image - Te Arei Pah.
