Description: Shows bird's-eye view of the area with roads, water-races, swamp, sandstone terraces, timber-covered hills, Lake Hochstetter, Nelson Creek, Gow's Creek, water race and pipe line. The shafts and hand workings are also shown, as are the Aldinga dredge workings. The other side of the pamphlet advises that there is a prospectus for the company, available on application. The values obtained from every shaft sunk, are described. There are recommendations from Mr J F McFadden, Director of the Westport School of Mines; Mr H Lowther, Manager of Lawson's Flat Gold Mining Co; and Mr Denis F Dennehy, Director of Golden Sands. The directors of the Greatr Western Company were to be: Mr Daniel Dennehy, Mr W S Richards, Mr R T Tosswill, Mr H L Bowker, Mr A McKellar, all of Christchurch.
