Description: Comprises a computer printout of a 2003 translation by Jørgen Peder Clausager, of a 1964 transcription by Axel Clausager-Madsen (1895-1981), of the original Danish manuscript memoirs by Hans Jørgensen Kjergaard (1833-1910) written from 18 November 1908 to 3 March 1909. Appended to the memoirs are excerpts from diary entries for the period 1854-1863, articles from Danish newspapers, and letters. The letter are from family members to Hans Kjergaard, letters about Hans Kjergaard, letters from Hans Kjergaard to his relatives, and letters addressed to Jens Pedersen, a school teacher in Saedding. Also included is a list of captions and printouts of scanned images and examples of holograph manuscript pages in Danish, with image numbers annotated in blue ink below for reference.
