Description: Letter to 'O.M.' (Old Man), George Frederick Joseph, sent from his son Michael Kennedy Joseph on 1 Jun 1954 from the Boar's Hill Hotel, Oxford, England. The letter details Joseph's bus trip through Spain, which began in France, and included a stop in Barcelona, where Joseph dined with Arthur Sewell and Keith Patterson. The letter provides an itinerary of the trip, and thoughts on various cities and towns visited, including Tarragona, Valencia, Granada, Cordoba, Seville, and Madrid. The letter describes the food in Spain, watching a bullfight in Seville, visiting the Museo del Prado in Madrid and seeing in person works by Goya, El Greco and Velasquez.
